THE STORK THEME

the stork themeWhat a better way to announce the special delivery of a new baby than with the stork theme.

Ever since the ancient times the stork has been a symbol of childbirth, to this day parents around the globe still tell their children that storks brings babies into the family to avoid the real reason!
I know I used it with my son when my daughter was born.

The stork story is very cute if only childbirth were really that Easy!

I like this theme for 2 reasons, if the couple does not know if they are having a boy or a girl, this is the perfect theme to choose for any gender and second you will have an abundance of supplies to choose from since the stork theme, among other baby shower themes, is one of the most popular for a baby shower.

When planning the baby shower stork theme, think of all the steps you need to touch before you start. You will need stork decorations, the fun games, the delicious food and beautiful favors to send your guests home with.

I know it seems like a lot, but good planning is the key.

Look below, I have ideas for all venues.

THE STORK THEME DECORATING TIPS AND IDEAS

The stork alone says it all, and it is gender neutral.

I am crazy about the color combo of baby blue, yellow and pink together.  Take those shades of colors and apply them throughout your space with balloons, centerpieces and table settings.

This theme is very well suited for a stork diaper cake. By using the theme colors, add all your diapers together and form a couple of tiers, use a plush stork in the middle of the diaper cake and then just have fun with it, don't be afraid to add stuff like hooded towels, small baby items including baby bottles, baby rattles with the stork theme, maybe add a few small nests filled with eggs.

the stork theme The stork theme of all the baby shower themes is absolutely perfect for a stork yard sign to announce the coming event, check your local area for sign rentals, it will cost less to rent and the sign will look more professional.

Bird's nests are also a nice addition to the plan, add chocolate eggs in them and rest the nest on a cloud made by using several cotton balls to get a thick, fluffy cloud look.

Another great idea for a nest is to use dye to color a few eggs and simply rest the eggs on a bed of feathers and add a nice bow to finish the project. Adorn your tables with these nests. It's elegant and yet so simple, I added a picture to show you.

Hang a nice baby shower wreath on the front door garnished with baby items with the help of floral wire, do not forget to add a stork in the wreath to emphasize the theme.

Give the wreath to the guest of honor when the party is over

THE STORK THEME GIFT IDEAS

Gift giving is the ultimate reason why we have a baby shower in the first place, to shower the parents-to be with practical gifts and gifts they will cherish forever.

We all want to find the perfect gift that will make you the hit of the event.

A cute gift to blend well with the stork theme is a gift basket, simply fill a beautiful wicker basket with a stuffed stork and load it up with baby care products and don't forget the big bow in front of the basket.

Another great idea for a gift is to create a large nest that you will sit on a table where your guests comes in, invite each of them to bring a small unwrapped practical gift such has pacifiers, grooming kits, gift certificates, baby socks, rattles and other small baby items. At their arrival, your guests can drop their items in the large nest. This will make a nice centerpiece and will be very practical for the guest-of-honor to bring home.
