Ingredients

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup butter
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups white sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla extract


Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
In a small bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
In another bowl, mix the butter and sugar until smooth.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Add in the dry ingredients.
Roll teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place on cookie sheets.
Use star shape cookie cutter.
Bake 10 minutes, or until golden brown.


 

The Nursery Rhyme ThemePETER PETER PUMPKIN PIE EATER



Ingredients

1-8oz package cream cheese 2 cups canned pumpkin, mashed 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup melted butter 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp salt 1 egg 2 egg yolks 1 cup half-and-half 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon store bought pie dough

Preparation

Preheat the oven at 350 degrees
Prepare pre made pie dough on a 9-inch pie plate
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with a hand mixer
Add the pumpkin and beat until combined
Add the sugar and salt, continue beating
Add the eggs, the yolks, half-and-half, and melted butter and beat until combined
Add the vanilla, cinnamon and beat until incorporated.
Pour mixture into pie crust and bake for 1 hour, or until the center is set



 

HUMPTY DUMPTY DEVIL EGGSHUMPTY DUMPTY DEVIL EGGS

Ingredients

6 hard-boiled eggs
2 tbsp of minced sweet onion
2 tsp sweet pickle relish
2 tsp creamed horseradish sauce
2 tsp yellow mustard
salt
paprika
olives
chives
parsley



Preparation

Slice hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise
remove egg yokes to a bowl and set egg whites aside
mash the egg yolks until crumbly
add sweet onions, pickle relish, mayonnaise, horseradish sauce, mustard and salt
mix until well combined
spoon mixture into egg white halves
garnish with paprika, olive, chives and parsley
chill before serving
