You will need a seating place for the mom-to-be with plenty of room for the placement of gifts.  Move furniture around,  get rid of any excess clutter.

Wrap the guest-of-honor's chair in tulle and attach a bouquet of balloons to it.  Hang an opened umbrella from the ceiling above the chair where she will sit and receive the baby shower gifts.

When you finally choose the room for your event, consider traffic flow, seating arrangements, a nice focal point like a fireplace, columns, or a nice bay window.

I cannot begin to tell you how much fun you will have decorating if you have already chosen a baby shower theme, you are likely to find decorations that goes with it and the colors will automatically come with the theme choice also.

Let me tell you about diaper cakes, before I started this adventure I had never heard of diaper cakes, they are so adorable and they make such cute centerpieces and wonderful baby shower gifts.

Add fresh flowers to your room, it will make your place look classy and beautiful.  You can make your own flower arrangements, a good trick is to add baby's breath and colorful bows to the vase.

To make your decorating adventure easier, just remember to add a baby shower theme, make it your focal point.

Promote togetherness by setting up all seating's so your guests can sit in groups, have a special chair for the mom-to-be, make sure to position the chair where all guests have a perfect view especially during the baby shower gifts opening session.  Decorate it with balloons, streamers and beautiful tulle which you can get at Wal Mart for very little money.

Add a folded card on the seat and write on it "reserved for mommy".
