BABY SHOWER BEAR THEME DECORATING IDEAS

bear on a clothesline Teddy bears can be used in lots of fun ways!

Use props like Gummi bears, cookies shaped like Teddy bears, great yummy honey, bee hives, berries and much more...

Use paw prints on your front steps and all over the inside of the house.  Place Teddy bears all around the room, bear confetti sprinkled all over the table. Add large bows on each bear and have some of them in cute printed diapers.

Tie a clothesline into the party room, clip a few Teddy bears, newborn clothing and also a few small baby items in between such as baby rattles, baby booties and pacifiers.

From your childhood memories what do you remember bears crave the most?   Yes honey! so lets use it in our baby shower bear theme decor, hang a few bee hives from the ceiling, adding a few bees busing around the hives and also terra cotta honey pots.

Tie bear balloons on chairs and use Teddy bear cutouts for wall decor.

Another great idea for this baby shower theme is to ask your guests to each bring a Teddy bear, use them for decoration purposes and collect them all at the end of the party to give to the mother-to-be

If you are throwing a shower for your friend or sister, I guarantee they will flip over the fact that you took the time to make their day extra special.

Here's a great tip! Whatever you apply on front of your card is going to be cute, the key to great baby shower invitations is to use great quality card stock with texture and color and my personal favorite, vellum.  Trust me they will stand out!

Forget the envelopes simply make postcard invitations, do the designs on one side and use the postcard template with your invitation wording on the back.

Your imagination is the limit when it comes to making your own baby shower invitations, trust yourself with maybe a little help from your craft store.

FIND THE BLACK TEDDY BEAR

Fill a baby bottle with red jelly beans and add a few black ones.
Challenge your guests to guess how many black Teddy bears are in the bottle.
The one who guesses closest to the correct amount wins a baby shower bear theme prize.

HONEY TASTING CONTEST

Buy different flavors of baby food, take the food out of the jars and use your own cute little dishes, place them on the table with plastic spoons.

Make a cute sign "HONEY TASTING CONTEST".

In front of each dish have a small folded card stock with the name of famous bears, here's a few to start with:

Pooh Bear
Care bear
Smokey the bear
Fozzie bear
Yogi bear
Baloo
Teddy Bear
Rupert
Gentle bear
Gummi bear
Booboo
Teddy Ruxpin
Nookie bear

Have your guests taste each and every one item on the table then have them guess and write on a piece of paper what each flavor was and match it with the bear name associated with each dish. The guest with the most right wins!

A FEW TIPS FOR THIS GAME:

    1. Write a small note "use has many spoons has you need" for those double dippers
    2. Put a large bowl at the end of the table, decorate it a little and put a sign "trash your spoons here please".
    3. Don't forget napkins.
